Safety Shield Ltd was founded in June 1998 by Barrie and Tracy to provide health and safety consultancy advice and safety services throughout Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. Our services can also easily be provided further afield when required.

We specialise in supporting small and medium sized businesses that do not need, or cannot afford, to employ a health and safety manager. We pride ourselves in our professional yet friendly service.

We provide practical safety management systems, including drafting workplace risk assessments, fire risk assessments, and safety policies and delivering in-house safety training. All services are bespoke to meet the specific needs and requirements of your business. We can also offer a cloud-based safety management system for companies needing to access their safety management systems whilst on the go.

The Directors are Fellow Members of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and Members of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). As required from early 2011 both Directors are registered on the Occupational Safety and Health Register (OSHCR) having met with specific standards required by the Health and Safety Executive and other professional bodies. The Company also holds the SMAS Worksafe Health and Safety Consultant membership certificate and are members of Constructionline. Both SMAS and Constructionline are members of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) forum.

They are also active members of the Newark Business Club, Lincoln Business Club and the Nottingham Occupational Safety and Health Association (NOSHA).
