With some regret we have for sale Jean's very rare Aston Martin DB MkIII DHC in Barn Find condition, this car needs a full & total rebuild
Owned by Mrs Jean Moss since 1967, the 5th owner.

One of only 84 DB MkIII DHCs made, this car was sold by Brooklands Motors, who was owned by Roy Salvadori, GP & Sportscar driver, Salvadori's name is the 1st in the log book.
It has won many hillclimb & sprint trophies in the hands of Mrs Jean Moss and one trophy in the hands of the late Michael Moss.

In process of being rebuilt, ready for the 2016 season, can be whatever colour paint finish & trim but it was originally Moonbeam Grey with Burgundy trim.
It would make a great rally or race car, especially with one of our 2.750cc engines producing 175bhp in twin SU carb form or 193bhp in triple SU carb form using the original block or even one of our race winning 2.6ltr or 3ltr engines using a new block, alloy head & Weber carbs.
Comes with new bonnet, wheel arches & frame, new doors, new sills, new rear wheel arches, new under panels at rear of car, rebuilt steering box, many other new items.
Engine is ready for rebuild, with new crank, new rods, new pistons, etc. however may not be used depending on customer's final spec.
Gearbox rebuilt some years ago.
3HA Axle fitted with 4 star diff although this may need replacing with one of our lightweight high performance axles depending on power output new owner requires.

Car comes with extensive competition history from the 1980s when it was raced & rallied by the then owner & some of the Moss family of Four Ashes, fully rebuilt in the late 1980s, paint is in good condition with a few chips & minor bubbles as expected, previous owner had car for 19 years.
Mildly modified engine with original twin 1.75 SU carbs mounted on a ported inlet manifold, fabricated exhaust manifolds, polished & ported cylinder head with big valve L1 head, fast road production DB3S cams, 8.6:1 forged pistons, Carrillo style connecting rods, modified distributor with points, engine develops 170 hp, fitted with DB5 diaphragm clutch, all this make the engine very tractable & easy to drive, nice road car.
Twin exhaust system.
Silver Painted DB4 wheels (not chrome)
Front disc brake conversion fitted to the car with MkIII discs & DB5 calipers, original front drum brakes supplied.
We carried out the following works before delivery to the new owner:
A Full Service.
New Magnecor ignition leads.
Rolling road session for best set up on engine, giving 169 bhp
RH front brake hose (LH one has been replaced earlier)
A gearbox rebuild bought about by an oil leak.
Worst of the oil leaks on the engine rectified.
